Actress Pankhuri Awasthy is quite psyched about her upcoming show Gud Se Meetha Ishq, which is set to hit the airwaves on Star Bharat. Produced by Film Farm India, the show has been creating a lot of buzz ever since its promo started airing on the channel.

Awasthy, who has been a part of several successful shows on Indian television, plays the lead role in Gud Se Meetha Ishq. She will be seen in the role of a Garhwali tourist guide who will shatter stereotypes widely prevalent in the male-dominated society.

To do complete justice to her character, the actress had to work hard on her language skills. Talking about the same, she told a publication, “All of the time that I have spent in the mountains, it has deeply inspired me to create this character. I worked very hard on my dialogues in order to get the most out of my character. On set, I have a Garhwali teacher who teaches me the difference between right and wrong with every word, tone, and corrects my language. On set, I frequently lose my rhythm, and they correct me and tell me what I've missed and how to speak. Even when I went to Mussoorie, I paid close attention to how the people spoke, conversed with one of them, and asked how they pronounced each word.”

The actress went on to add, “Since many of our co-actors are Pahari, I always ask them questions and continue to learn so that my language and diction improve. During my childhood, I travelled to various mountain ranges such as Nainital, Shimla, Mussoorie, and Kullu because we used to live in Chandigarh and this was the closest place to visit for us, which also helped me become acquainted with the language.”
