In June 2023, Hasan Touqeer, the father of Sumbul Touqeer, entered into a second marriage. His second spouse is named Niloufer, and she brings with her a daughter named Izra from her previous marriage. The marriage between Hasan Touqeer and Niloufer was kept low-key, possibly due to the alleged involvement of his older brother Iqbal in rigging the match. For a while, the daughters had been encouraging their father to consider a second marriage, and the arrival of Izra, their young stepsister, has been warmly embraced by the family.
