Shefali Shah is one of the best actors in the Hindi film industry, and owing to the emergence of OTT platforms, the world is now aware of and applauds her exceptional acting abilities. The Jalsa actress most recently took home the 'Best Actress prize from the Melbourne 2022 Indian Film Festival. Delhi Crime season 2 has been eagerly anticipated by fans ever since the trailer for the Shefali Shah-starring series debuted. The show's first season made history by becoming the first Indian program to win an International Emmy. Shefali Shah returns as DCP Vartika Singh in the second season. The trailer of the second which was released earlier created a buzz among audiences.

The first season of Delhi Crime was based on the 2012 Delhi gang rape case. The show had its Sundance debut and was later acquired by Netflix after years of study went into it. Shefali clarified how season 1 and season 2 vary in a recent interview. “I think the difference between seasons one and two are that over there, there was a crime and these characters came into the picture. Over here, there are the characters so the investment in the characters has become even more, and there is a crime. Now it’s not just them as cops, it’s also them as people. It is all of it and more,” explained Shefali.

The Darlings actor further added, “It is raw, real, gritty. It’s not melodramatic, it’s not about sensationalizing a case or a moment. the characters are so strong and embedded that whatever is happening is their reaction to the situations around them.”

Delhi Crime 2's trailer was recently released, and it appears like fans will be in for yet another sobering story. The crime drama will start streaming on August 26 on Netflix.
