HBO CONFIRMS ‘House of Dragon’ renewed for season two
The ‘House of Dragon’ has only one episode aired. The second episode is eagerly awaited by fans. HBO has recently confirmed there will be a season two for the show after witnessing the massive success of the premiere which was on the 21st of August.
The ‘house of Dragon’ is a prequel to the successful series ‘Game of Thrones the story of ‘House of Dragons’ starts 170 years before the main series events. The first episode of the new show had over 10 million views and broke the record of the original. HBO shared that over 20 million people saw the episode over the course of a week. Executive Vice President of HBO Programming Francesca Orsi announced that season 2 has been greenlit in a statement, "We are beyond proud of what the entire House of the Dragon team has accomplished with season 1”. She further added, "Our phenomenal cast and crew undertook a massive challenge and exceeded all expectations, delivering a show that has already established itself as must-see-TV ... We couldn’t be more excited to continue bringing to life the epic saga of House Targaryen with season 2."
Season one will have ten episodes released after which season two will be in production. Apart from this author of the original George R. R. Martin shared in an interview that he has various stories in the works. The network in the future will also release a Jon Snow sequel series.
