'I wasn’t there to be Kangana’s chamchi,' says Saisha Shinde after her ouster from Lock Upp!
Hosted by Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut, Ekta Kapoor's reality show Lock Upp has been in news ever since its announcement. Launched a couple of weeks ago with much fanfare, the show has been doing pretty well in terms of viewership.
The controversial reality show, which simultaneously streams on ALTBalaji and MX Player, has 17 contestants who have been locked in a jail. They are required to play the game and fight for getting bail to survive.
The show recently saw the elimination of Saisha Shinde. The fashion designer was ousted due to her tiff with Kangana Ranaut.
Talking about her elimination, Shinde told a publication, “I don’t regret a single bit of it as I know, I have been true to my game and team members. My love is real, my jokes are real, my entertainment is real, then my anger can't be fake.”
She continued, “That moment was naturally my outburst and I can't pretend to be nice to Kangana. Main Kangana ki chamchi nahi banana chahti. I am her employee and I was here to entertain and not become her chamchi. Having said that, we have seen how the ones who roared otherwise ended up keeping quiet in front of her. I admit I was wrong and disrespectful. I feel when you are wrong and you apologise, the bigger person forgives you. Kangana had hired me. It is her jail and by that logic, there are no questions asked further. I do hope that Kangana forgives me.”
