Actress Rasika Dugal is of Indian descent and is well-known for her performances in many Indian films and television programs. She appeared in a small role in the movie 'Anwar' to make her acting debut. She then starred in many critically praised movies, including 'No Smoking,' 'Aurangzeb, Qissa,' 'Train Station,' 'Tu Hai Mera Sunday,' and 'Hamid,' among others.

She rose to fame after getting a role in the crime series 'Mirzapur' and 'Delhi Crime.' Now she is appearing in the news as she has bagged the role of Irene Adler in the Indian adaptation of 'Sherlock Holmes' titled 'Shekhar Home.' The actress will portray Irene Adler as the only woman to have ever outsmarted Sherlock Holmes.

Filmmaker Srijit Mukherji will direct the series, set in an Indian background. Kay Kay Menon plays Sherlock Holmes in the Indian adaption, and Ranvir Shorey plays Dr. John Watson. Usha Uthup will play Mrs. Hudson on the show, and Koushik Sen will play Mycroft Holmes.

The name and personality of the show will have a Bengali flair, making it distinctive and appealing to Indian audiences. Kolkata will shortly see the start of the show's filming. It is a good rendition of the classic detective narrative because of the skilled cast and crew, distinctive setting, and plot.
