Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha posted images from their wedding in Udaipur. The photos show the pair dressed for their day wedding in Udaipur, with the bride wearing a blush lehenga and the groom wearing a cream sherwani. The images show Parineeti and Raghav's jaimala and pheras, as well as one in which he kisses her on the forehead.
"From the very first chat at the breakfast table, our hearts knew," Parineeti wrote, referring to a post she shared after the engagement in May in which she revealed that she had known Raghav was "the one" over a fateful breakfast date. "Been waiting for this day for a long time. So blessed to finally be Mr and Mrs. Couldn't have lived without each other. Our forever begins now," read Parineeti's caption.
The wedding reception was held yesterday at the Leela Palace Hotel in Udaipur. The baaraat left for the wedding destination in curtained boats after Raghav's sehrabandi at Lake Palace. The vidaai was followed by a jaimala, pheras, and vidaai.
Pre-wedding festivities included haldi, mehendi, and a 90s-themed sangeet with live performance by singer Navraj Hans. An ardas and a Sufi night were hosted in New Delhi last week.
Several of Raghav Chadha's AAP colleagues attended the wedding, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Sania Mirza, a close friend of Parineeti Chopra, and Manish Malhotra, who created the bride's attire, both attended the wedding. Karan Johar was supposed to attend the wedding, but he reportedly had a family issue. Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti's cousin, was conspicuously absent. Priyanka was working, her mother Madhu stated as she boarded a flight out of Udaipur this morning.
