Amitabh Bachchan's creative association with filmmaker Shoojit Sircar has resulted in films such as Piku (2015), Gulabo Sitabo (2020), Pink (2016), and the yet-to-be-released Shoebite. The actor and director are teaming again, as per ETimes.
According to the report, Amitabh Bachchan will play a cameo role in Shoojit Sircar's upcoming film and has travelled to Kolkata to film the scenes. The project's specifics, however, have been kept under wraps. According to insiders, Amitabh Bachchan will play a pivotal part in the film. It's worth noting that this will be Shoojit Sircar's fifth cooperation with Amitabh Bachchan. They also collaborated on the film Shoebite, which has yet to be released.
On March 19, the legendary actor shared a photo aboard an aircraft with Pink streaks in his hair, along with a travel update on social media. “Travelled and ‘pinked’ up .. a new day a new film a new learning .. each day ..” he captioned the post. He actually flew to Kolkata to shoot with Shoojit Sircar.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Amitabh Bachchan was recently seen playing a football coach in Jhund (2022). Sairat (2016) director, Nagraj Manjule helmed the film. Mr. Bachchan’s performance was highly-received, and the film was well-received by critics as well. Aside from that, Amitabh Bachchan will star alongside Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh in Runway 34. The film will be released on April 29 this year. Amitabh Bachchan also has Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Brahmastra in the works.
