The next Cannes 2023 - Festival De Cannes will have a screening of the English-language version of the Hindi-language film.

Dacoit Shakuntala Mahto plays the title character in the movie, but other important roles are also played by Hyder Kazmi, Omkar Das Manikpuri, Pratibha Yashpal Sharma, and Abhimanyu Singh. The biopic is centred on the exploits of notorious dacoit Shakuntala of Madhubani. The movie spectacle has been hailed as a masterpiece by those who have seen it.
