The rights to the Amitabh Bachchan-starring film ‘Don’ from 1978 were purchased by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. In addition to Big B, Zeenat Aman, Pran, and Om Shivpuri also played prominent roles in the legendary movie. Shah Rukh Khan then appeared in a 2006 remake of the movie. ‘Don: The Chase Begins’, the first chapter of the new generation Don, was released in 2006, and ‘Don: The King Is Back’, the second chapter, was released in 2011.
