Nawazuddin Siddiqui, one of India's finest actors, has built a name for himself in both the Bollywood and Hollywood entertainment industries. Nawazuddin has provided his admirers with a superb variety of films to binge-watch. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who was recently seen in Sudhir Mishra's 'Afwaan'. Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently stated that he will only do major roles even if he has to bankroll his own films, adding that he does not have to be a hero but the character must be vital in the plot.
He previously collaborated with Salman Khan on ‘Kick’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, and he also played a significant role in Shah Rukh Khan's Raees. However, he has not appeared alongside major stars in a few years. Nawazuddin has not been affiliated with a star-driven film since ‘Raees’ (2017), with the exception of a brief appearance in Akshay Kumar's ‘Housefull 4’.
In an interview, Nawazuddin stated, "It's not that I don't want to (work with Salman or Shah Rukh)." If I get a huge role in a big picture, I'll do the same thing I've done before. The distinction between lead and supporting roles is important in this business. It makes no difference if you are in Europe or Hollywood. However, supporting performers are relegated to minor roles in this film. I managed to avoid that, and I don't want to do it again. I will only take on starring roles, even if it means investing my own money in the picture."
He also clarified that this does not imply he will solely play the hero. "Like in Raees, my character was opposite Shah Rukh, and it was crucial." Even if Heropanti 2 didn't turn out, my character was important. It wasn't like it was a one-shot role in a big movie. "Those are the kinds of roles I'm looking for in big films now," he adds.
Nawazuddin is now promoting his next film, ‘Jogira Sa Ra Ra Ra’. The upcoming film is directed by Kushan Nandy and written by Ghalib Asad Bhopali. It also stars Neha Sharma, Sanjay Mishra, Mahakshay Chakraborty, and Zarina Wahab.
