The Deol wife returned it to Babita because she didn't understand the outburst. Even Kareena, who had only been in the business for a year, did not appreciate Tanya assisting Bipasha Basu. Nobody can confirm the slap incident, whether it actually occurred or not. However, Bebo later said in an interview that she didn't like Tanya.
She said, “Actually, there was a problem with his (Bobby Deol) wife, Tanya. She didn’t behave properly with my mother. And I didn’t like that.” She even confirmed that she did not have a problem with Bobby saying, “I don’t deny a problem with Bobby’s wife. But I’m sure my problems with Bobby can be sorted out. There’s no negativity from my end.
She just doesn’t seem to have any confidence in her own talent. In a four-page interview, she spoke about me for three pages. Why not talk about your work? I think her only claim to fame is that she fought with me during Ajnabee over dress designer Vikram Phadnis. She’s given statements that I called her uncharitable names. Now, that’s a figment of her imagination.”
In a later episode of 'Koffee with Karan,' even Karan Johar made an effort to delve into Bobby Deol's response to the altercation, in which the actor merely smiled and shown complete ignorance of the circumstances surrounding the incident. Karan, on the other hand, acknowledged that whatever occurred actually did occur.

When Bobby Deol was cast as the lead in 'Jab We Met,' which was originally titled 'Geet' and starred, Kareena Kapoor later exacted her sweet retribution by refusing to work with him. In spite of Deol's eagerness to participate in the project and his assurances to Imtiaz Ali, Shahid Kapoor unexpectedly took Deol's spot when Kareena joined the cast.
