Actress Avika Gor, who captured the hearts of many with her outstanding performance in "Balika Vadhu," is getting ready to make her Bollywood debut with the upcoming social comedy Kahani Rubberband Ki. The film was written and directed for the first time by Sarika Sanjot.
Avika, who has previously acted in Kannada and Telugu movies, is ready to make her Bollywood debut. Her 'Sasural Simar Ka' co-star Manish Raisinghan makes his acting debut in the film, which also stars 'Scam 1992' hero Pratik Gandhi, comedic icon Gaurav Gera, and veterans Aruna Irani and Paintal.
The joke centers on a store owner who calls the condoms he sells rubber bands. Under the guise of a funny masala entertainer, this social piece promises to also educate the audience.
Sarika Sanjot on working in "Kahani Rubberband Ki."
Sarika Sanjot says, "I am delighted to offer this story to the audience," when speaking of the subsequent laugh riot. The movie tackles such a crucial subject in a way that normalizes the use of "condoms" in Indian culture.
Sadly, as a society, we treat the one thing we need most as forbidden, she continues. Making condoms a household name is the goal of this movie. I want young people to feel confident asking for condoms at a pharmacy. It's not something to be ashamed of and the most responsible thing to do. I want to remove the stigma associated with condoms, and I imagine that renaming them rubber bands through this humorous take on the matter would help to normalize the entire condom-buying process for the young people in our nation.
Film's cast, according to Sarika, "I am impressed with the performances of every person participating in this film. A finer stellar cast is beyond what I could have imagined. Everyone has played their parts excellently, including Avika, Manish, Pratik, Aruna Ji, Paintal, Gaurav Gera, and the rest.
