Hollywood’s icon Cameron Diaz takes on the silver screen once again post a long retirement. The actor is set to star opposite sensational Jamie Foxx in an OTT action-comedy film ‘Back in Action’.
The two stars were last seen together in ‘Annie’ remake (2014), which was Cameron's last role before retiring according to Variety magazine. The two actors had also worked together in the sports comedy ‘Any Given Sunday’ (1999).
Jamie Foxx announced on Twitter by sharing audio of a phone call with Diaz, who is at a loss for words to share with the world that she is returning to the movies. She said, "I don't know how to do this, you know?".
The film is written by Brendon O’Brien and directed by Seth Gordon. According to Jamie, production begins later this year. 'Variety' further states that Foxx is executive producing the Netflix movie 'Back in Action' with Datari Turner, O'Brien and Mark McNair. Producers are Beau Bauman for Good One Productions and Gordon via Exhibit.
The ‘Charlie's Angels' star is super excited to resume work and is hoping for the best and shared on her Instagram Story, writing, "Jamie Foxx, only you could get me back in action!!! I can't frickin wait it's gonna be a blast! (sic)."
