Raj Burman is a popular playback singer in the Bollywood industry. He also has his own YouTube channel where he often shares his songs and covers. He recently sat down for a conversation with bollywoodmdb.
When it comes to art, oftentimes when we are inspired we work well. We do not realise that we have been working on the same piece for long hours and many days but when it comes to reworking the same piece. Making repetitive corrections and going over the same work many times we lose interest and end up compromising on quality. Raj on these notes shared how when is in the zone he can work for hours and even make corrections. What makes him tired or lose interest is when a correction comes from someone and he does not himself feel there is a need to change a thing. It is during those times that he has to push himself to deliver. He went on to share how he is in no position to give advice but in fact, he should be advised people as he has a long way to go.
Raj was in the same interview asked what according to him is the most important thing to do. To which he replied “practice”. He said how often he hears singers refusing to sing when they are not in the mood and how that is bad as it will become a habit. Raj explained that when you are asked to sing you should make your mood and give justice to the listeners by performing your best every time. He even shared how he can not reveal which song he is working on next but can surely share that it will be a romantic song.
