Deepika Padukone is the undisputed queen of Bollywood and the whole world has accepted it. The actress gave a blockbuster film in January, and a couple of days ago, she became the only Indian actress to feature in TIME 100 Influential People of 2018 List. Yesterday, the 32-years-old actress also featured as the cover girl for Tings, London, and had a brief interaction with the magazine. In a conversation with the coveted magazine, DP revealed about her upcoming film and said it is yet to get a title. She will soon start shooting for the same. Though she said that the movie is based on the book - The Mafia Queens Of Mumbai, she clarified that no title has been decided yet.
“There’s a film that I will begin working on soon, it doesn’t have a title yet but it’s based on a true story from one of the mafia queens. It’s actually a chapter from a book called ‘The Mafia Queens of Mumbai’ there is no title yet but there are references of a woman who I would say was extremely brave in doing what she did, and I just thought it was a very very expiring story and a story that needed to be shared,” she said.
To be directed by Vishal Bhardwaj , the film was scheduled to go on floors from March 2018 with Deepika and Irrfan Khan but as the latter is undergoing a treatment, it got postponed.
Irrfan is still not recovered, so it’s hard to say whether the makers will wait for him or will commence the film with a new actor.
