Finally all the dark clouds have cleared for film ' Finding Fanny '. Delhi High Court has announced the judgment in the favour of the film and has dismissed the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by a NGO Jai Jagriti Foundation.
The petition was filed demanding the ban on word "fanny" in the film ' Finding Fanny ', its songs, posters, banners and trailer. Because the dictionary meaning of the word is sexually explicit and using it in the film will hurt the sentiments of the people. Therefore, NGO had filed the case against director Homi Adajania , actors including Deepika Padukone , Arjun Kapoor , Naseeruddin Shah , Dimple Kapadia and Pankaj Kapur and also against the Censor Film Board Certificate for granting it U/A certificate.
Chief Justice G. Rohini aand Justice R. S. Endlaw did not entertain the PIL and said it has found nothing wrong in the title.
With the sigh of relief, ' Finding Fanny ' will be at last hitting the theatres tomorrow.
