Amid the ongoing 'Bollywood vs South' row, Kannada superstar Yash aka Rocky Bhai has appealed to fans in Karnataka to respect Bollywood for what it is as an industry.
Stressing on the fact that we are all living in a united India, Yash said degrading any film industry or mocking films of other languages is not wise.
“I do not want people of Karnataka to put down any other industry. Because we have faced such problems when everyone treated us that way. However, we have worked hard to get that respect... We cannot start ill-treating anyone. We should respect everybody. Respect Bollywood," he said in a recent interview.
Yash also asked youngsters not to fight over films and to compete unitedly on the international forum.
On work front, Yash was last seen in K.G.F : Chapter 2, which served as a sequel to the 2018 film K.G.F: Chapter 1. The film traces the journey of Raja Krishnappa Bairya aka Rocky Bhai, who after establishing himself as the kingpin of the Kolar Gold Fields, must retain his supremacy over adversaries and government officials.
With approximate earnings of ₹1,200–1,250 crore globally, K.G.F: Chapter 2 is the third highest-grossing Indian film worldwide, the second highest-grossing film in India, and highest grossing Indian film of 2022.
As per reports, a sequel starring Yash is in development.
