It was revealed earlier this month that Prabhas' ‘Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire’ will be released in theatres in November of this year. The film is directed by Prashanth Neel and was originally intended to be released on September 28.
Manobala Vijayabalan, a film trade analyst, has now stated that the action flick may not be released this year at all. He tweeted, "As per trade, pan-India star Prabhas' Salaar is not looking at a release date this year. Salaar Ceasefire is aiming at 2024 release."
There have been numerous speculations about the ‘Salaar’ delay, with some reports saying that VFX work was one of the reasons the picture was pushed back. Manobala Vijayabalan also stated in his most recent tweet, “The team is working tirelessly to meet the highest standards. They are making the final touches on the film and committed to delivering an exceptional cinematic experience.”
‘Salaar's’ release date was delayed earlier this month, according to reports. Taran Adarsh, a film trade analyst, confirmed the rumours on Twitter, writing, "Breaking news… Prabhas's SALAAR to arrive in November… Salaar is NOT arriving on 28 September 2023, it’s OFFICIAL now… The post-production work of this Prabhas-starrer is going on in full swing… Hombale Films - the producers - are bringing the film in November 2023… New release date soon."
Because Shah Rukh Khan's ‘Jawan’ was released on September 7, some social media users speculated that ‘Salaar's’ release date had been moved back due to the ‘Jawan’ fever. On September 13, Hombale Films issued a statement saying, “We deeply appreciate your unwavering support for Salaar. With consideration, we must delay the original September 28 release due to unforeseen circumstances. Please understand this decision is made with care, as we're committed to delivering an exceptional cinematic experience. Our team is working tirelessly to meet the highest standards. The new release date will be revealed in due course…”
‘Salaar’, directed by Prashanth Neel of KGF, will be released in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi. Prabhas plays the titular character, and the cast also includes Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, and Ramachandra Raju. The film's release date has been set for December 2020. The film, billed as an action thriller, represents Prashanth Neel and Prabhas' debut collaboration.
