The movie had a positive reception from viewers when it premiered, earning the title of a blockbuster. The box office total for actor Vijay's Varisu is getting close to 300 crores. The cast and crew of the movie attended a success party that the production company threw to mark the movie's massive success over the weekend.

In the movie, Sarath Kumar, Radikaa's husband, had a significant part. The success party was attended by Vijay, who stayed away from the movie's promotion. Rashmika Mandanna was spotted posing for photos during the party as well. Director Vamshi Paidipally, composer SS Thaman, and producer Dil Raju were also there in addition to Vijay and Rashmika.
