The first episode of the brand new season of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ went on air on Saturday night. The first celeb guests on Kapil’s show this time were actors Akshay Kumar and Rakul Preet Singh, who were promoting their latest release Cuttputlli.
While fans of TKSS are excited and looking forward to the new season with bated breath, Kapil has said that he and his team are ‘ready with full force’ to make their viewers roll in laughter. “All I can say is that we are ready with full force to bring some zabardast entertainment this new season," he said.
Thanking the audiences for their continued support over the years, Kapil added that he owes everything that he is today to his viewers.
“To begin with, what I am today, I owe it completely to my audience who have continued to support me in all my endeavours these years. I have always enjoyed making my viewers laugh and during the period that I was away, it gave me a lot of time to introspect on what new things I can bring this time around for them," said the actor-comedian.
Now coming to the new season of The Kapil Sharma Show (TKSS), Kiku Sharda, Chandan Prabhakar and Archana Puran Singh are a part of the cast, besides Kapil. The new faces in this season include TV actress Shristi Rode, Gaurav Dubey, Ishtiyak Khan, Sidharth Sagar and Srikant G Maski.
Krushna Abhishek, who has been a part of the earlier seasons, will not be a part of TKSS this time. While there are reports that Krushna quit the show over ‘salary issues’, there is no confirmation regarding the same. When contacted, Krushna admitted that he is not doing TKSS, the reason being ‘agreement issues’.
