After "Breathe: Into the Shadows 2," actress Saiyami Kher is preparing for another streaming series. She will be seen portraying a poetess in the web series "Faadu," which was directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari of "Bareilly Ki Barfi" fame. She evolved not only as an actress but also as a person as a result of the role.
When discussing the same, Saiyami said: "Projects like 'Faadu' come once in your life and I am grateful that this was offered to me. By trying to capture the essence of Manjiri, not only do I feel I have grown as an actor however I also evolved as a person."
Saiyami grew emotionally attached to her character during filming: "I am very attached to this character and found a lot of me in Manjiri. I’ve felt every dialogue and lived every scene thanks to the brilliant writing and the guidance of our director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari."
Pavail Gulati, who plays the lead, commented about the programme: "Some characters you play in life change you not just as an actor but as a person. My character Abhay is raw and ambitious, trying to write his own fate while going through emotional turmoil. Abhay has changed me, 'Faadu' has changed me. I cannot wait for you guys to meet him!”
In "Faadu- A Love Story," a man from modern India is caught between two options that require justification. He is caught between the threads of true love and economic advancement. Abhay, a poet who is enraged and a dreamer, wants to travel at the speed of time so he can look back on his journey from poverty to wealth. He falls in love with Manjiri, a poetess who has a distinct outlook on life, while he is travelling.
"Faadu - A Love Story," which is produced by StudioNext, features music by Santhosh Narayanan and lyrics by Saumya Joshi. On December 9, the show will release on Sony LIV.
