Akshay Kumar and Rakul Preet Singh end the monsoons blues with a swoon-worthy song ‘Saathiya’; FIlm ‘Cuttputlli’ drops a new song
Not long ago fans were gripped by the trailer of ‘Cuttputlli’. The film is headlined by action hero Akshay Kumar and Rakul Preet Singh. In the film, Akshay plays a cop tracking down a serial killer. The film's romantic song ‘Saathiya’ just dropped and it has fans swooning over the lead’s chemistry with one and other.
The actors have made sure the viewers won't be able to take their eyes off them. This marks the first collaboration between Akshay and Rakul Preet. As per fans' reactions, the on-screen pairing seems fresh and perfect. The song is sung in the melodious voice of Zahrah S Khan and Nikhil D’souza. The enchanting music and strong lyrics are by the talented Tanishk Bagchi. Akshay after the song's release shared, “We had a massive set built in London for this one, from cars to aeroplanes to even hot air balloons, we had it all. Rakul and I enjoyed shooting this peppy romantic number. Tanishk has done an impressive job with the music of Saathiya. It’s the tune that you will listen to while driving and even groove at a party, it will grow on you and before you know you’re humming it. It's one of my favourites from the album.”
Rakul Preet on the other hand shared, “Saathiya is one of my most favourite songs from the film. I think it's a very refreshing melody, it's after a very long I have heard a romantic melodious track. I truly believe that this will touch people’s hearts.” The film is produced by Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh and Pooja Entertainment, and is directed by Ranjit M Tewari. The film will be released on 2nd September on the Disney+ Hotstar platform.
