Akshay Kumar & Mudassar Aziz to come together for comedy flick Khel Khel Mein
Post the debacle of Yash Raj Films' Samrat Prithviraj (2022), Akshay Kumar is re-evaluating his film choices. It was reported a few days back that Akki is doing a film based on the backdrop of the Indian Air Force. And as per latest updates, Khiladi Kumar is all set to team up with director Mudassar Aziz's for a comic entertainer titled Khel Khel Mein.
A source close to the development revealed, "It's a subject that Mudassar has been discussing with Akshay for a while now and falls in the place of an out and out comic entertainer. Akshay too has liked the subject and green lit it. The movie will be produced by Bhushan Kumar and Ashwin Varde, however the timelines of shoot are not known yet."
The same source went on to add that paperwork and other necessary formalities regarding the project have already been done. Other things like dates and shooting locations will also be finalised soon.
Interestingly, Khel Khel Mein will mark the return of Akshay Kumar to the comedy genre after a very long time.
On the work front, Akshay Kumar has an interesting line-up of films in the future. His next release is Aanand L. Rai's Raksha Bandhan (2022) in which he reunites with his Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017) co-star Bhumi Pednekar. Besides, Kumar will also be seen in films like Ram Setu, Mission Cinderella, OMG 2 - Oh My God! 2, Selfiee and the untitled Soorarai Pottru remake.
