Akshay Kumar to play an Indian Air Force officer in Dinesh Vijan's next?
Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, whose latest release Samrat Prithviraj failed to create magic at the box office, is re-evaluating his projects and offers. The actor has apparently been taken aback by the debacle of his last release and hence, is leaving no stone unturned to bounce back again.
As per the latest reports, the 54-year-old actor has signed an action-packed film in which he will be playing an Indian Air Force officer. The project is being made by Dinesh Vijan, who will be collaborating with Akshay Kumar for the first time.
“The paperwork is done and the duo is now working towards blocking the shoot dates. It is expected to go on floors in the first quarter of 2023,” a source close to the project revealed.
The same source further added, “It’s an aviation-based film, in the period times, revisiting and celebrating one of the biggest victories of the Indian Air Force. The pre-production work has already begun".
On the work front, Akshay Kumar has an interesting line-up of films in the future. His next release is Aanand L. Rai's Raksha Bandhan in which he reunites with his Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017) co-star Bhumi Pednekar.
Besides, Kumar will also be seen in films like Ram Setu, Mission Cinderella, OMG 2 - Oh My God! 2, Selfiee, and the untitled Soorarai Pottru remake.
