Amidst Nepotism Debate, Director Zoya Akhtar REVEALS How She Prepared Agastya Nanda And Suhana Khan For The Archies
In an interview, Zoya Akhtar spoke about how she mentored and she trained the star kids to deal with all the backlash and nepotism that they will receive.

‘The Archies’, the next movie from director Zoya Akhtar, is the talk of the town. ‘The Archies’ will mark the big Bollywood debut of a number of star kids including Suhana Khan, the daughter of Shah Rukh Khan, Agastya Nanda, the grandson of Amitabh Bachchan, and Khushi Kapoor, the sister of Janhvi Kapoor.
Among the audience, there is a lot of excitement as these new actors take the stage for the first time. However, it is impossible to overlook the nepotism controversy that is raging, with allegations that these young debutantes were given the chance to star in a movie due to their upbringing.
In an interview, Zoya Akhtar addressed the issue and provided the cast of ‘The Archies’ with some advice. The director admitted that she anticipated talk of nepotism the moment she introduced star kids. As a mentor, Zoya helped them get ready for the criticism and backlash that would come.
"At the end of the day, we all grow up," Zoya stated in reference to the lesson she gave the newcomers. Every child wants to pursue their aspirations as an adult. When you have parents you respect as a child, you naturally take after them. That is all there is to it. Who are they to tell someone they can't do something?
The director stated that Zoya's success motto for the up-and-coming talents was "to roll with the punches" when asked about her advice for the star kids. She concentrated on pushing them to work hard and perform at their highest level until they were "unstoppable." According to Zoya, if someone worked hard, everything else would take care of themselves.

She added, “Nothing is under your control besides you. People's opinions, statements, and whether or not they like you are outside of your control. Simply be in charge of the energy you emit. So focus and be a Jedi, Zoya instructed the rest of The Archies.”
Recently, at the Netflix Tudum 2023 event in Sau Paulo, Brazil, the first teaser for ‘The Archies’ was released. Aditi Dot, Yuvraj Menda, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, and others play significant parts in The Archies which will stream on Netflix.
