The pre-wedding festivities for Dharmendra's grandson Karan Deol will not be attended by the renowned Bollywood actor and grandfather of Sunny and Bobby Deol. With ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’ in 2019 and ‘Velle’ with his uncle Abhay Deol in 2021, Karan launched his acting career. On June 18, he will marry Drisha Acaharya, the great-granddaughter of famed director Bimal Roy. Dharmendra has opted to forego the pre-wedding celebrations while the Deol family is preoccupied with them.
In an interview, Dharmendra revealed his reason for not attending the pre-wedding functions. He expressed that he didn't want to be a hindrance to the enjoyment of the young couple. "Let the children have fun. If I am around, they are likely to get inhibited. I do not want them to miss out on any of the fun," he said. Instead, Dharmendra will directly attend Karan's wedding on the scheduled date.

Earlier, in a different interview, Dharmendra shared his hapoiny about Karan's wedding and described his grandson as a "very good boy" and a "caring person." He shared his joy that Karan had found the love of his life. When Dharmendra was questioned about how he found out about Karan and Drisha's connection, he said that Karan had first told his mother, Pooja Deol (the wife of Sunny Deol), who then told Sunny and finally Dharmendra.
Karan's choice to advance his connection with Drisha has the full approval of Dharmendra. He gave Karan some advice, telling him to "go ahead if Karan likes her." Dharmendra was extremely complimentary of Drisha after first meeting her, describing her as a "sensible and pretty girl."
Recently, a video of Sunny and Bobby Deol attending Karan Deol's roka ceremony on June 12 with their cousin and actor Abhay Deol appeared online. The trio could be seen smiling and laughing while posing for the cameras.
