Dilip Kumar's Pali Hill Bungalow To Undergo For Redevelopment; Titled 'The Legend' To Become Luxurious Residency & Museum
When a plan to transform the Pali Hill house of the late superstar Dilip Kumar is presented the following week, it will acquire an equivalently prestigious position.

Ashar Group, which has its headquarters in Thane, organized the unveiling ceremony. "This redevelopment transformation will witness the conversion of this property site into an ultra-luxurious residential space along with a momentous tribute to the superstar in the form of a dedicated museum capturing and celebrating his life journey and milestones," the builder stated in a statement.
The project, which would take up 1,600 square meters of the land, will be known as ‘The Legend’, The Free Press Journal has learned.
In Bandra's Pali Hill, this will be the developer's second such project. Both belong to the ultra-luxury category. One of the sales at the ongoing project was for as much as 1.35 lakh rupees per square foot.
Between 1953 and 2003, the superstar lived in this cottage until it fell into disrepair. The actor and his wife Saira Banu then relocated to another Pali Hill home.
This scheme has been in the news for years due to a number of events, including Saira Banu serving builder Samir N. Bhojwani with a defamation notice for 250 crore and her unsuccessful plea to then-Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

She had gone to the Mumbai police in 2018 and filed a report with the Economic Offences Wing for defrauding and attempting to take the bungalow. Bhojwani was accused of forging some documents to change the ownership of the property. The case was dragged out in court for a very long time.
