One of the most coveted honours in the entertainment industry is the National Award. Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon won the Best Actress National Award for their roles in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and ‘Mimi’, respectively. Popular musician Kumar Sanu discussed not receiving a national honour ever in a conversation about the award. Since the 1990s, Sanu has primarily sung in important Bollywood films. Kumar Sanu acknowledges being disappointed over not taking home one of the major accolades.
In a conversation, Kumar Sanu opened up about not receiving a national award. He believes he absolutely ought to have obtained one. And not only that, but also a Padma Bhushan, one of the greatest accolades for civilians. Sanu doesn't bother with it, though. He believes they should decide. Although Kumar Sanu admits to being injured, he is accustomed to it.
He adds, "If you do not have enough approach and buttering skills, you cannot get these awards."
Sanu continues by saying that he now realizes how crucial it is to take such actions in order to win those accolades. All these things are understood by the general population, according to Kumar Sanu. The musician admits that winning regular prizes these days is challenging. Sanu continues by saying that it is alright even if he lacks the strategy and comprehension to receive an award on his own. He has never been interested in such things previously, and he also doesn't care what other people are doing.
'No problem, the government will me an award when they feel I deserve one. What can I do if they do not give it to me?" Sanu says, reports an entertainment news portal.

Kumar Sanu has performed songs for several Bollywood celebs, including ‘Jawan's’ Shah Rukh Khan, ‘Tiger 3's Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Sunny Deol, Rahul Roy, Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor, and many more. Sanu has songs in Bengali, Assamese, Nepali, Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Odiya, Telugu, and Kannada in addition to Hindi. He was among the most popular singers of the 1990s. He frequently worked with a variety of composers, including Nadeem-Shravan, Anu Malik, Himesh Reshammiya, Rajesh Roshan, and Anand-Milind.
