‘Mission Raniganj,’ a heroic rescue thriller, will debut in theatres on October 6, 2023, according to Pooja Entertainment. The movie was based on a true story that happened at the Raniganj Coalfield and was motivated by Late Shri Jaswant Singh Gill's bravery in organizing Bharat's coal mine rescue operation.

In November 1989, the courageous Jaswant Singh Gill made a crucial contribution to the successful, against all chances rescue of all the miners still alive trapped within a flooded coal mine in Raniganj.

Starring Akshay Kumar, Parineeti Chopra, Kumud Mishra, Pavan Malhotra, Ravi Kishan, Varun Badola, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Rajesh Sharma, Virendra Saxena, Shishir Sharma, Ananth Mahadevan, Jameel Khan, Sudhir Pandey, Bachan Pachera, Mukesh Bhatt, Omkar Das Manikpuri, 'Mission Raniganj' is an ode to the resilience, determination, and valor of the human spirit and engineering minds. The movie is also Tinu Suresh Desai's follow-up thriller to ‘Rustom,’ which received enormous critical and box office success.
