The movie ‘Pathaan’, starring Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan, has been dogged by controversy for a time now due to a seemingly endless series of problems. Their song ‘Besharam Rang’ has drawn criticism, and many individuals have expressed their dislike for it. Deepika's films and the controversies surrounding them have been in the news before.

Pathaan

Many people tore ‘Pathaan’ posters and other marketing materials for the upcoming movie starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.

Deepika's orange bikini in the song, which some groups allege "offended religious sentiments," is the primary cause of the protests. The debate heated up to the point where the CBFC had to make multiple edits to the Deepika Padukone starrer.

Padmaavat

‘Padmaavat’ generated a lot of criticism even before it was released. Because the movie was based on Queen Padmini's biography, the Karni Sena was quite critical of it because they thought it inaccurately portrayed their queen.

Things deteriorated to the point where the Karni Sena even threatened to have Deepika's nose amputated if Padmaavat's release was not halted. The producers were forced to modify the film's original name, ‘Padmavati’, following a two-month legal battle, and distribute it under the name ‘Padmaavat’.

Bajirao Mastani

‘Bajirao Mastani’, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Priyanka Chopra, also caused controversy.

Peshwa's descendants reportedly took issue with the period drama's supposed "wrong portrayal" of real events. They claimed that when the late monarch and his wives Kashibai and Mastani were depicted in the film, the facts had been "altered" by the director. In fact, the issues were litigated, and SLB prevailed.

Ram Leela

The movie's initial title, ‘Ram-Leela’, was greeted with opposition by some individuals because of its association with the name of Lord Ram.

Sanjay Bhansali directed the movie starring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. The film's initial title was altered to ‘Goliyoon ki Rasleela Ram-Leela’ following the filing of a FIR against them.

Gehraiyaan

Due to Deepika's attire and intimate sequences, Deepika's most recent movie ‘Gehraiyaan’ was entangled in controversy.

A social media influencer named Freddy Birdy uploaded a post with the caption, "Newton's Law of Bollywood. As the release of ‘Gehraiyaan’ draws near, the clothing will become even more restrictive. Additionally, it stated that "Necklines and Hemlines are ‘Gehraiyaan’."

Deepika, however, did not hesitate to respond appropriately and wrote, "Scientists say the universe is made of protons, neutrons, and electrons. They forgot to mention morons."
