Today we saw the release of the eagerly anticipated ‘OMG 2’ teaser, which went viral right away. Without giving too much away, the creators have succeeded in captivating the audience with its captivating plot. Akshay Kumar has joined up with Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam for the OMG sequel. Paresh Rawal was featured in the 2012 film OMG.
Fans were thrilled to watch the connection between Akshay and Pankaj Tripathi on television, while many were disappointed by Paresh Rawal's absence. According to several sources, the co-stars of Hera Pheri could be at odds. However, Paresh Rawal revealed the true reason he decided not to participate in the movie in a two-year-old interview.

Paresh Rawal admitted in an interview that he didn't care for the plot of OMG 2 or his on-screen persona. The actor declined the role because he believed he would not like portraying the part. I'm not interested in taking part, therefore mujhe nahi lagi kahani achi. (I didn't like the plot and don't want to be a part of it.) Mere liye koi bhi sequel banana, encash karna, mujhe as a character maza nahi aa raha toh, mene bola mein nahi karunga. Making a sequel is to me like cashing in. I declined to participate in the project since I did not appreciate the character)"
Paresh Rawal continued by saying that a sequel should be similar to Lage Raho Munna Bhai if one desires to produce one. Jo hum Hera Pheri mein kar chuke the (what we had done with Hera Pheri) was again (chasing), but Neeraj (Vora) nahi raha par encash kyu?, the actor stated. If you develop sequels, model them after Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. and Lage Raho Munna Bhai, which both had some quantum leaps in their plots.
The ‘OMG 2’ teaser, which was unveiled on Tuesday, July 11, promises a sarcastic comedy with a strong social message. Pankaj Tripathi will be portrayed as a devout follower of God, while Yami Gautam will play the part of a lawyer. The release of OMG 2 is scheduled on August 11. It will compete at the box office with Sunny Deol's Gadar 2.
