Sunny Kaushal who marked his big screen debut with ‘Shiddat’ alongside Radhika Madan enjoyed the massive success of the romantic drama. ‘Shiddat’, starring Sunny Kaushal, Radhika Madan, Mohit Raina, and Diana Penty, was directed by Kunal Deshmukh and had its digital release in 2021.
The romance drama was praised for its story, melodies, and acting. According to the most recent news, the filmmakers are planning a sequel to the film dubbed ‘Shiddat 2’, which will be released immediately on digital in 2024, just like the first part.

Jio Studios announced the release plans for its future 100 originals at a press conference on April 12, 2023. ‘Shiddat 2’ was one of the titles officially announced during the press conference. Maddock Films and T-Series will co-produce the film. Sunny Kaushal will continue to play Jaggi in the series. Radhika Madan has not been confirmed to appear in the sequel. Parineeti Chopra will join the cast and crew of ‘Shiddat 2’ as the newest addition.
