The much-awaited wedding of Bollywood is trending on social media. Alia Bhatt took to Instagram on April 14 to officially announce her wedding to Ranbir. I'm sending you some breathtaking photos. Ranbir Kapoor who has dated many well-known Bollywood actresses has finally tied the knot with none other than Gangubai Kathiawadi actress Alia Bhatt.
Yesterday after the wedding the actress went on her Instagram handle and penned down a heartfelt note for her husband Ranbir Kapoor, she wrote “ Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home ... in our favourite spot - the balcony we've spent the last 5 years of our relationship - we got married. With so much already behind us, we can't wait to build more memories together ... memories that are full of love, laughter, comfortable silences, movie nights, silly fights, wine delights, and Chinese bites. Thank you for all the love and light during this very momentous time in our lives. It has made this moment all the more special. Love, Ranbir and Alia.” Ranbir who is not on Instagram could not post any pictures with his lady love, but there have been rumors that he is soon joining Instagram after marrying Alia Bhatt.
Rahul Bhatt, Alia’s brother disclosed that the couple took four rather than seven pheras at their marriage. When asked about the significance, he stated that they had a special pandit and that he was pivotal in a ritual where brothers are required. He stated that the pandit has been working with the Kapoors for several years. He further stated “So he explained the significance of each phera. Ek hota hain dharm ke liye, ek hota hain santaan ke liye, so it was really fascinating. We have not been exposed to this. I come from a household of multiple ethnicities. So, that was fascinating. There were not 7 pheras but 4 pheras for the record. And I was needed during all the 4 pheras.”
