On January 31, Atlee announced the birth of his son.

Atlee will make his Bollywood debut with Jawan. The film also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. The film is promoted as a high-intensity action event film with intense battle scenes. It was produced by Shah Rukh's production company, Red Chillies Entertainment.

The movie's teaser, which Shah Rukh presented in June 2022, began with a sight of the Northern Lights across mountain tops. The movie's theme was playing while Shah Rukh was seen with bandages covering his face. On June 2, Jawan will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
