Tadka starring Nana Patekar, Ali Fazal, Taapsee Pannu & Shriya Saran premiers on ZEE5

Tadka: Love Is Cooking, which is the official Hindi remake of the Malayalam film Salt N Pepper, premiered on ZEE5 from Friday (November 04, 2022). Starring Nana Patekar, Taapsee Pannu, Ali Fazal and Shriya Saran, the Zee original film has been jointly produced by Girish Johar, Nittin Keni, Sameer Dixit, Akash Chawla and Jatish Varma.
The storyline follows the life of an archaeologist named Tukaram (Patekar), who receives a call from an RJ named Madhura (Shriya Saran). Gradually, they develop feelings for each other. However, their guilt related to age is what makes them hesitant in expressing their feelings and meeting each other in person.
Nevertheless, it is their love for food that forms a common point and acts a catalyst in shattering the barriers.
While Ali Fazal plays Siddharth- Nana Patekar's nephew, Taapsee Pannu features as Shriya Saran's friend Nicole.
Directed by Prakash Raj, the film promises to be a comedy of errors with a heart and soul. Speaking about the project, Prakash said, "Tadka is a very special film which has been made with a lot of love, laughter and food. I've always wanted to adapt the Malayalam film Salt N Pepper in Hindi and showcase the heartwarming and entertaining story to everyone.
"I am also very thankful to all the actors (Nana Patekar, Ali Fazal, Shriya Saran and Taapsee Pannu) for being with me in this wonderful journey of Tadka. I hope the movie fills the viewer's heart with lots of joy and love,' concluded Raj.
