When Virat Kohli reflected on his first meeting with Anushka Sharma, says, "I acted like a fool"
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are one of the most powerful couples in Bollywood. Their love story appears to be a beautiful fairy tale, since they've been married for nearly four years and are doting parents to their little bundle of joy, Vamika. While the couple prefers to keep their personal lives private, there is a throwback interview in which the ace cricketer recalls his first meeting with his now-wife.
Virat said he met Anushka on the set of a commercial they made together in 2013 during an interview with Graham Bensinger on his show In Depth With Graham Bensinger. The famous cricketer admitted that he was uncomfortable and jittery on the sets, and that he ended up cracking a joke with Anushka right after meeting her, which was probably not the nicest thing to say and turned into a strange moment for him.
“She walked in and was looking taller than me,” Virat recalled the incident. He stated, “I said, 'Didn't you get a higher pair of heels than these?' She was like, 'Excuse me?', I said, 'I am just joking!' My joke actually became a weird moment for myself. I behaved like a fool, to be honest”.
The duo started dating after appearing together in the 2013 Head and Shoulders shampoo ad. They tied the knot in 2017 in Italy in an intimate marriage ceremony and welcomed their daughter Vamika on 11th January, 2021.
