World Day for Mental Health! Influencers on social media take the lead

A few years ago, specific quick-fire queries about which other celebrities should see a therapist were posed to celebrities, giving the impression that doing so is something to be laughed at. Thanks to the parties involved in the fight against mental health concerns, this has, luckily, evolved over the years. Among them are social media entrepreneurs who publicly disclose the heinous poison of social media, going to therapy—something that was never openly discussed—and being vulnerable. We discuss these individuals and their stories on World Mental Health Day.

Fortunately for me, except for a few ups and downs throughout my 20s, things have been straightforward despite some challenging mental health phases in college. I post it on my social media accounts to spread the message that everyone experiences mental health struggles and normalize talking about them, particularly during their darkest moments. I believe that at this time, I have a somewhat decent understanding of my mental health because I have also received counseling. Although therapy was quite helpful, I find that my normal sleep, exercise, and meditation routines are even more useful.

In my experience, my mental health is typically in good shape whenever these routines are in place. I have received counseling, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. I support therapy but believe it should be conducted with some education, especially for our age, which has had such an odd upbringing due to early social media exposure. I'd like to think that content producers gradually become more culturally relevant each day. But the moment you become culturally relevant, it is your job to send the right messages out there, and I feel there is no other right message at this rather than discussing counseling and mental health in general.

Our experience with mental health is typical of many others. It's one where we both struggle with imposter syndrome and experience a lot of tension and anxiety. We work with body image because we are constantly in front of the camera. Everyone carries baggage from their early years. It also felt like too much to tote about all the time. Imposter syndrome affects a lot of people. So many people simply believe they are unworthy. We decided to discuss it openly at that point. should make room for discussions regarding mental health, particularly in light of our demanding and precarious lifestyles. With additional experience in this area, we now tackle trolling differently. We used to interact with trolls in the past. We both recommend finding a hobby outside of work that you enjoy, whether it's reading, playing video games, or watching a comedy movie. anything that relaxes your mind. To keep sane, it all helps.

Over the past ten years since I began my professional career, I have encountered many personal and professional difficulties. This path has been fulfilling, but it has also included a lot of vulnerability, flaws, failures, terrible days, and other things.

Therefore, although creating content is all about highlighting life's good points, I believe it is crucial to also draw attention to the less frequently discussed emotions that are very normal in everyone's experience.

Although I've never sought a therapist's advice, I believe it is vital for those who feel the need. Like any other illness, mental health difficulties are genuine and seeking professional assistance when needed should be completely acceptable and de-stigmatized. I'm a huge proponent of practicing gratitude, so journaling and meditation help me unwind and get back in touch with my long-term objectives and dreams.

It was challenging when I started making videos since I had to wear a wig and put up with trolls and audience members making fun of me. It hurt me at the moment, but when I saw the outcomes of my hard work and passion, I eventually came to terms with it. Recalling the beautiful days and taking lessons from the less-than-good ones is my motto for maintaining mental stability. It seemed like a dream, like when Shehnaaz Gill and Ananya Panday reposted my stuff on their Instagram stories.

It gives me the chills to think that the people I adore and have been following for a long time have passed away. I feel that discussing treatment and mental health issues is crucial for creativity. I want to use this platform to strongly urge everyone to talk to their family and friends since they can support you through trying periods in life.
