WOW! Sonam Kapoor Is All Set To Make A Comeback With ‘THIS’ Film!

Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor is one of the most talented actresses in the industry. She has a sizable social media following. She has established herself in the industry with films such as ‘Raanjhanaa’, ‘Neerja’, ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, and others. The actress has now confirmed that she will begin production on her next feature film, ‘Battle for Bittora’, in 2024. Read on to find out what else she revealed about the film.

Sonam Kapoor announced in an interview with PTI that she will begin work on her next feature film, ‘Battle for Bittora’, in 2024. "I'm going to do Battle for Bittora next year," the actress remarked.

The movie is based on Anuja Chauhan's novel of the same name. The book, which was released in 2010, tells the story of an animation expert who finds himself running for office in Bittora against a former royal family.

Sonam further added, "That's a beloved character but I feel a lot of girls might have read the book. I feel a lot of girls, maybe of our generation know (about the book), but I don't think the younger generation knows the character as much. So, we have the advantage of that."

Revealing some plot elements about the film, the actress said, "The script is done. We are looking for an actor and the director is also not locked in yet. Only the producer and female lead is (locked)." The film will be produced by Anil Kapoor Films Company.

Rhea Kapoor, Sonam's sister and producer, reportedly acquired rights to the 2010 book of the same name.

Initially, Pakistani actor Fawad Khan was supposed to play the male protagonist in the story. He was most recently seen in the Hindi film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, after which he faced controversy about his identification as a Pakistani actor. Sonam has stated that the team is seeking for another actor to take over the film.
