'An Action Hero' is Ayushmann Khurrana's third consecutive release in 2022. Prior to this picture, he appeared in Anek and Doctor G.

An Action Hero, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Jaideep Ahlawat, debuted on December 2 and earned Rs 1.50 crore (India net). The movie's box office results on Day 7 were extremely low because it rarely had any viewers. According to trade reports, it only made Rs 85 lakh on its first day, bringing the movie's total net domestic revenue to around Rs 9.58 crore. The movie's box office performance doesn't appear to be improving. If things keep going the way they are, it might soon be removed from the theatres. On December 8, An Action Hero had an overall Hindi occupancy of 8.45%.

Ayushmann plays well-known actor Manav in the movie, who engages in a thrilling chase with Jaideep Ahlawat's goon. The movie is made by Anand L. Rai and Bhushan Kumar, and it is directed by Anirudh Iyer. The movie was slated to premiere on December 2nd, 2022. Both Bollywood diva Malaika Arora and Nora Fatehi make special item appearances in the action-thriller movie.
