Vikas Bahl's ' Shaandaar ' witnessed a disappointing first week box-office collections at the domestic markets. The comedy drama raked in Rs. 2.20 crores on Monday, Rs. 1.87 crores on Tuesday, Rs. 1.41 crores on Wednesday, and Rs. 1.16 crores on Thursday. Hence, the total first week box-office collection stands at Rs. 40.15 crores at the domestic front.
The film has received poor reviews from the critics and also, from the audience. The movie stars actors  Shahid Kapoor  and  Alia Bhatt  in the leads. Directed by Bahl, the movie also stars veteran actors  Pankaj Kapur  and  Sushma Seth  among others. The comedy drama marks the debut of Shahid's sister  Sanah Kapoor .
