The Kashmir Files (2022), directed by Vivek Agnihotri, is unquestionably reaching a new level. The film, which was released on March 11, 2022, tells the heartbreaking narrative of Kashmiri Pandits who were victims of the 1990 genocide, which was one of India's most devastating occurrences. The film depicted the plight of Kashmiri Pandits, who were forced to flee their homes and live as refugees in their own nation.

The Kashmir Files soared over the sky on Saturday, with 7 crores* more pouring in, after overperforming big time on Friday [3.55 crores]. On March 11, the film starring Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, and others earned Rs. 3.55 crores on its opening day. Surprisingly, the film's second-day numbers were similarly remarkable, with the film earning roughly 7-7.25 crore nett on the second day, for a total of 10.50 crore net, beating Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starrer Radhe Shyam (2022), with the film allegedly grossing 4.50-4.75 crore nett.

The Kashmir Files, which was just released on about 700 screens, is performing really well and has already seen an increase in showings. Exhibitors have begun making arrangements for a larger number of exhibits on Sunday, and it will be a completely different situation from Monday onwards. This is the second time Vivek Agnihotri's film has seen strong word of mouth translate into strong box office receipts, as witnessed earlier with his The Tashkent Files (2019). That movie started out slowly but steadily gained traction, and in this case, a strong start is a big plus.

As per a Box Office India report, "The Kashmir Files has shown growth of over 100% which is phenomenal and the opening was pretty good as well. Mumbai, Delhi and East Punjab lead but slowly the film is pushing in other areas as well and the screen count is going higher."
