Ajinkya Deo Biography

Ajinkya Deo is a well know Marathi film actor, who has also acted in couple of Hindi films. He is the son of the yesteryear's famous Marathi actor Ramesh Deo. Though not much recognized in Hindi film industry circles, he has got really commendable acting skills, which he has proved in his films. He was Prabhat Entertainment Channel's Executive Director as well.

He began his career in the mid 80s with the Marathi film 'Vahinichi Maya'. After that, through the 80s, he acted in noted Marathi films like 'Shabbas Sunbai' (1986), 'Sarjaa' (1987) and 'Majha Ghar Majha Sansaar' (1987) and 'Kashyasathi Premasathi' (1987). He made his Bollywood debut with 'Sansaar' in 1987. After which he was seen in Hindi films like 'Kachchi Kali' (1988), 'Sone Pe Suhaaga' (1989). His Marathi film 'Sarjaa' won the National Film Award For The Best Feature Film in Marathi in 1987.

In the 1990s he was seen in Hindi films like 'Pyasi Nigahen' (1990), 'Parwane' (1993) and 'Phool Aur Angaar' (1993) and Marathi films like 'Maherchi Saadi' (1991), 'Jivlaga' (1992) and 'Bajrangachi Kamaal' (1994).

He also acted in the 90s horror TV series 'Zee Horror Show' for the episodes 'Jadu Tona' (1995) and 'Chandalika' (1996). In 1996, he was seen playing the role of Captain Vikram Singh in the English TV film 'The Peacock Spring'. However, the biggest turnout in his career came with 'Ek Krantiveer: Vasudev Balwant Phadke' where he played the role of the Marathi freedom fighter with the same name. After that, in the 2010s he was seen in the well received Marathi films 'Ringa Ringa'(2010), 'Jeta' (2010) and 'Dubhang' (2011).
