Amole Gupte Biography
This talented persona is an Indian director, screenwriter and actor. Amole Gupte rose to fame with his masterpiece 'Taare Zameen Par' starring Aamir Khan and Darsheel Safary. He was born in 1962 in Mumbai. Gupte was the screenwriter and creative director of this film. Along with his wife Deepa Bhatia, he worked on the concept, research and editing of the film 'Taare Zameen Par'.
The 2011 release 'Stanley Ka Dabba' was Gupte's directorial venture that featured his son Partho in the lead role. Amole Gupte was the producer of this film as well as he acted in it. As an actor, Amol featured in the films like 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar', 'Phas Gaye Re Obama', 'Bheja Fry 2' and 'Holi'.
Some of the prestigious awards won by Amole Gupte include Apsara Film & Television Producers Guild Awards for Best Screenplay and Best Story category for the film 'Taare Zameen Par', Filmfare Awards for Best Story category for 'Taare Zameen Par', Star Screen Awards for Best Story and Best Dialogue category again for 'Taare Zameen Par', Zee Cine Awards for Best Story once again for 'Taare Zameen Par', V. Shantaram Awards for the same film and IIFA Awards for Best Villain category for the film 'Kaminey'. Amole Gupte is soon coming up with his next directorial venture 'Hawaa Hawaai' in the year 2014.
