The actress has acted in multiple Marathi movies and she is one of the most sought-after Marathi actresses in the industry. Amruta possesses a great dancing talent. She is a proficient dancer too.

Her parents' names are Raju Khanvilkar and Gauri Khanvilkar. Her younger sister's name is Aditi. Amruta Khanvilkar commenced her career in the year 2006 from a Marathi movie 'Golmaal'. The actress played a double role in this film. Amruta was a part of television talent hunt show named as 'Zee India's Best Cinestars Ki Khoj' aired on Zee TV in the year 2004.
