Arjun Mathur Biography

The name Arjun Mathur belongs to a guy who is from those rare actors who prefer quality instead of the quantity. In a short span of his career he has managed to impress many talented actors and directors with his fabulous performances in the films. Born on 18th October 1981, in London Arjun has studied theatre as an A level subject. Arjun did his schooling from St. Columbas school in New Delhi and St. Mary's school in Mumbai. While studying theatre in school, he developed a liking towards acting so he chose the acting career instead of attending the college. He has studied acting from Barry Johns at Lee Strasberg theatre institute in New York. But he got the real education of cinema when he worked as an assistant director for films like 'Bunty aur Babli','Mangal Pandey -The Rising' and 'Rang De Basanti'.

He got a chance to make a debut in acting through Farhan Akhtar and Mira Nair. He was chosen to be a pivotal part of the short film for 'Aids Jaago' project. He got his first chance for acting in commercial film known as 'Luck by Chance' followed by 'My name is Khan.' He also played a key role in Raja Menon's 'Barah Aana'. He has appeared in Onir's 'I am' which had a controversial gay love scene. He has also appeared in the television commercial of Airtel 3G with Aditi Rao Hydari.

The talented guy has also appeared in one television show named as Bring on the Night. Arun has done following films in his acting career,'Kyon Ho Gaya na','Outsourced','Migration','Positive','Barah Aana','Luck by Chance','My name is Khan','14226','Mumbai Cutting','Lions in the Night','I am','My Friend Pinto' and 'Fireflies' etc.
