Chandrakant Singh Biography

Chandrakant Singh is a producer and director of Hindi films. He originates from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. His father is in the business of transportation and his mother is a housewife. He has a brother Abhay Singh who is a distributor. Chandrakant has a bachelors degree in Biology. He went to Devi Ahiliya University to get his degree. He has done a 6 month course in the direction and scripting from the New York Film Academy of Los Angeles.

He began his career as an assistant director with Mr. Uday Shankar Pani 's documentaries in the year 1996. He again assisted in the making of the film 'Mr. Bechara '. In the year 1999 , he directed 'Aaj Ki Ramayan'. He has directed some of the TV commercial as well. In 2004, he directed one Documentary on the Cancer in Woman. His debut as a director in the mainstream cinema happened through 'Rama Rama Kya Hai Dramaaa ' in 2008 starring Rajpal Yadav , Ashish Chaudhary and Neha Dhupia . The film bombed at the box office and got negative reviews. His next was 'Bin Bulaye Baraati ' starring Aftab Shivdasani , Rajpal Yadav , Priyanka Kothari and Om Puri . The film was released in 2011 and got mixed reviews. In the same year, he directed 'Be Careful '. In the year 2012, he produced a short film 'Scapegoat'.

His upcoming film is 'Kushal- Mangal ' starring Rajpal Yadav and Ashutosh Rana . The movie will be produced by Rajpal Yadav .
