Hemant Birje has acted in Bollywood movies ; in some as the lead , and later on as a supporting actor .
He made his Bollywood debut with Adventures of Tarzan (1985). Mostly known for its sleazy content, the movie was a flop .
Some of his other movies include, Mardangi (1988), Commando (1988), Ab Meri Baari (1989), Aaj Ka Samson (1991), Angaara (1996), Bhooka Sher (2001), Galiyon Ka Badshah (2001), Kasam (2001). Most of them are literally unknown .
He played a small part in Lakeer - Forbidden Lines (2004), starring Sunny Deol, Sohail Khan, Suniel Shetty and John Abraham in pivotal roles.
The same year he appeared in the Salman Khan starrer Garv : Pride and Honour. A movie about the police force, it was a flop as well.
In 2009 he was seen in another flop cinema, Kash Mere Hote.
