Ileana D'Cruz is an actress with a simple girl next door looks. She was born in Mumbai on 1st November 1986. Her parents are Samira and Ronaldo. She has 3 siblings 2 sisters Farrah and Eileen and her brother's name is Rhys. She spent some of her early years in Goa as well.

When Ileana was in Goa, one hotel manager insisted her to take up modeling. He introduced her to model and ramp choreographer Marc Robinson. Ileana mentions her first portfolio as a disaster. But it landed her up in many modeling assignments. After her second portfolio, she got a chance to work in commercial advertisements for brands like Fair & Lovely, Electrolux and Emami Talc. One of these advertisements was directed by Rakesh Roshan. He recognized the talent and doors of the film industry opened for Ileana.

The film with which the Helen of Troy , Ileana debuted in the film industry was 'Devadasu' a Telugu film. For this film, she took acting lessons from Aruna Bhikshu. Ileana gave a brilliant performance in this film which was appreciated. She got noticed for her hour glass figure and sexy legs. The film was a blockbuster hit and Ileana received the Filmfare award for the best female debut in Telugu.

After that Ileana was seen in many hit south Indian films like 'Pokiri' ,'Aata' ,'Jalsa', 'Saleem' ,'Rechipo' ,'Kick', 'Nenu Naa Rakshasi' and 'Nanban'. 'Nanban' was a Tamil remake of '3 Idiots' and Ileana played Kareena Kapoor's character in the film.

Ileana's first Hindi film was 'Barfi!' along with Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. The film was a success at the box office . It got many national and international awards. Ileana also got many awards for her performance in 'Barfi!'. She will be next seen in 'Phata Poster Nikla Hero' with Shahid Kapoor. The film is a rom com and will be released this year. Being an established actress in South Indian industry, Ileana wishes same for the Bollywood as well.
