Isha Sharvani Biography

This Indian actress is also a contemporary dancer. Isha Sharvani is well-known for her aerial dance performances and stylistic Indian contemporary dance form. Born on 29 September, 1984, Isha basically hails from Ahmedabad and later moved to diverse places like Delhi, Vrindavan, Orissa, Bangalore and Trivendrum. Isha has been seen in a few Hindi flicks.

The parents of Isha Sharvani founded Academy for Art Research, Training and Innovation (AARTI), which is an arts school in Kerala. The talented beauty gained a professional training in various dance forms like Kathak, Kalaripayattu and Chhau dance from her mother Daksha Sheth. Since the last seven years, Isha has been performing these dance forms in around twenty-two countries. Isha is a professional Malkam dancer; Malkam dance is a kind of folk dance.

The ace B-Town filmmaker Subhash Ghai noticed her dancing talent. The filmmaker was in pursuit of someone with excellent dancing skills for his movie 'Kisna' in 2005. Until then, Bollywood films were not on the priority list of Isha. She debuted in 'Kisna' alongside Vivek Oberoi. Isha Sharvani achieved acclaim for her dance performances, though the movie could not do well at the box office. Another appreciated dance performance by Isha was in the Parle Hide & Seek television commercial opposite Hrithik Roshan. The dancing duet attained much praise from the masses.

Isha carried on her dance performances and went on signing Bollywood projects as well. In the year 2006, Isha essayed a lead role in the film 'Darwaza Bandh Rakho'. When it comes to small screen appearance of Isha, she was seen in television dance reality show 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa' Season 5 on Colors channel. She grabbed much praises in this show.

The other Hindi flicks in which Isha Sharvani stared in are 'Good Boy Bad Boy', 'Rocky - The Rebel', 'Luck by Chance', 'U Me Aur Hum' and 'David'.

In one of the short films in Malayalam 'Esha', Isha played the role of a housebreaker. The movie was a part of the anthology '5 Sundarikal'. Isha Sharvani even appeared in a Tamil film 'Maattrraan'.
